will try to check in tonight even if i'm away from home. one of our local repeaters has IRLP. just to confirm....if the repeater is clear, i key up, enter 9257 (HT or DTMF mic for mobile/base) and wait to hear if the connection is successful? is that it? i would only be using HT/mobile or base if i'm home, nothing via computer or iphone.

Quoted: I'm probably going to miss tonight's net. At the in-laws with bad cell service and I don't think I want to mess with their firewall. View Quote You only need 3G to get in... Walk around the house/yard to find a good signal. If you can check in, great. If not, there is always next week. |

I would like to add one thing to the check-in's. When asking for check-in's, after someone checks in and they unkey, you can jump right in and check in behind them. The last couple of weeks some people seem to think net control needs to jump in between each check in. Not the case. When check-in's are asked for, 4-6 people can check in one after another. Just wanted to make that clear to everyone. Looking forward to the net tonight. Net starts in exactly 5 hours from now. |

I am going to try and don't drink as much before this one, but i wont promise anything

Seems to be working for me today on my ipad. Not so much on the Mac. I'm hoping to check-in unless the family drags me away for dinner.

my local IRLP repeater is in use currently for another net. when it wraps up i'll try connecting and see if you guys are still running. just sent in my license info for echolink via my iphone so probably wont get approved for this week if the local repeater stays tied up...

I was about to check in and lost connection. So much for internet technology.
This is why I don't like to rely on computers when it comes to HAM radio. |
Tried to connect, got no route to node. Was informed that the Echolink node is offline.
It worked earlier, so color me puzzled. |
Grr. I'm on my iphone. I can hear you guys but it's not picking up my audio when I transmit.
Not entirely sure what happened but cant get back in. Keeps timing out.
Is there a way to connect w/o showing up on the list to just listen?
something wonky with echolink for sure. maybe it's just the authentication piece, because I am connected and it is fine. However, I can't launch a new connection on my phone.

Had the microphone turned off on the phone for EchoLink. Fixed that but now I can't get back into the net.
I'm not sure how I did it, but I doubled with Net control. How is that even possible on echo link?
It was some sort of UDP issue, at times I could get into the test server but wouldn't go anywhere near the ARC. But I'm back in now.

Just made it in. totally forgot about it tonite until I was on the way home from a hockey game

It was weird. I've been on echolink for a few weeks now and had talked a couple times tonight. (actually was talking when it all went bad) |

good stuff, glad i was able to make it in after the repeater cleared up. thanks again.

Hey Scooter thanks again for an awesome net. I really do appreciate it.
Do you mind if I bug you some time this week to help me test the new IRLP node? |
The way I understand it, echolink its self was having problem for a bit. The problems seemed to work them selves out for most and the net started and ended very well. We had 12+1 check-in's and the net went just shy of 2 hours. Lots of fun. And for any of you that are having problems with Echolink, some of you might want to try coming in on your local IRLP node. Go to IRLP.NET and download the google earth plug in. It will show the closest IRLP node near you in Google Earth. |

View Quote Sure, just paypal me a dollar and I'll be there. I'm on 9250 most of the time, try me there and just IM a time. I can call you direct node to node if you want. |

Hmph, tried the node again after I got to work and got in with no sweat.
Technology, isn't it wonderful? |

Well I was on earlier today with (I'm guessing) Scooter. I woke up after 4hrs of sleep and did the time conversion wrong so I got on about 4hrs early, but he was there. So I know EchoLink works for my phone.
Still fighting it on my PC. |
I can't get echolink to work. It says I have firewall issues. I granted echolink full access and it still fails the firewall test.
