I was thinking the EXACT same thing about a half an hour ago when I read this new one. Something about this writing reminds me of L'Amour alot. Nice work, I hope you have more where this came from! |

Wow. What a great start. Lights Out was an amazing piece of literary and Survival Genious, and here we are starting with more new scenarios to think about and try to live through. The Bug Out was crazy with the ending, but more than likely a very truthful and realistic scenario. Even more to consider. Are there any other stories that you have written SIR that I might find and read to keep myself occupied as we wait for the next installment of this Creation?
Thank you for your time and dedication to our entertainment. I truly hope you get published so we can reward you for your effort with these stories and own true copies of these pieces. |

Great start, loved lights out aswell.

Thanks for the update. Seriously though, one scene every three weeks is torture.
Halffast, your writing in this story is excellent. I've seen a lot of improvement since the beginning of Lights Out. |

Good going,
But why must you make us wait so long inbetween chapters. Now I know what it must have felt like when lights out was first coming out. |

Oh great.
I really enjoyed Lights Out, but I made a point of not starting it until it was done, because once I start a book I'm pretty compulsive about finishing it. And not on someone else's schedule. Having read Lights Out, I'm even more tempted to start reading Lost and Found. The voice in my left ear is whispering "Start reading it," but the voice in my right ear argues "Wait until it's done, especially since he said it may not be finished online." At some point I'll probably get weak and start reading it. If it's really good, um, David, fair warning, I might have to head south and pull a "Misery" on you. |

I want to thank each and every one of you for the encouragement and support. I have not been this excited about writing since I started "Lights Out". I hope you like the story and that you will like where I am going with it. Thanks a million.

Made the jump over from Frugal to continue reading your story. Thanks for the reply email you sent. . .you made my day!
Can't wait for chapter 6; and I was so happy to hear that Mark and the gang will be back!!! |
|
|
Well I loved "Lights Out" so I will be reading this. I'm just leery of starting another unfinished online book.
|
|
|
Here is chapter 6. I will be working out of town for the better part of a week, so it may take a little longer to get the next one finished. I really appreciate all the support. I would be interested to know how you all think this compares to the first few chapters of "Lights Out".
Hawkeye - I'm sorry but I don't get the FDA question. I'm just thick so I need you to 'splain it to me. Shadowbody - Welcome. rvogster - I know what you mean about how many stories never get finished. It seems like 90% of them just die off. I think I can finish this one though. It is only going to be about 1/4 the length of LO. Thanks again to all of you. I hope this lives up to your expectations. David |

Another good story, told from a different point of view. I like the two separate story lines. The one about the ATV dude is definately an ARFcommer and the story is moving along quickly (I think quicker than 'Light Out'. The story line about the drunk is definatly moving much slower than the storyline in LO, not much there keeping my interest other than curiosity on where that line is going. I take it the OK ATV camp-out influenced you to write this? |

FDA = Food and Drug Administration. Just wondering if they have contacted you yet for distributing a mind altering substance. LO and this both get my brain going in lots of directions. |

Wow, another great chapter! I like it, it has my interest every bit a much as the first few chapters of LO.

OK, well I'm ready to get both LO and L&F at my local bookstore... David, man, when are we looking at for publishing dates? signing parties?
autographed, 1st edition, hard copies? if we beg? |

If it involves hunting or guns count me in. Consider me armed and dangerous. I don't believe in overkill. |
Chapter 6 was most excellent. No high drama here, but an unexpected twist to be sure! Halfast, keep it up!

Thanks for all of the replies. I really appreciate them.
Forest, I have had this story working in the back of my mind for a long time before we planned the ATV camp out. the camp out did allow me to see how well an ATV could be used in this situation, though. Hawkeye, got it...Duh! donne3, I really need to get LO cleaned up, but it's more fun to write than it is to edit. As far as the begging...I don't know. I'm not used to being the one getting begged. Thanks again for all the encouragement. It really keeps me going. David |

This is definately a more advanced writing style compared to LO. I really liked LO, and I like this story as well. The chapters are very short, though. In a normal size book, these would only be a couple pages long.
I agree about the drunk story line. I'm a little curious about it, but much more interested in the main character. Anyway, great work. I look forward to the rest. Seeing this post updated in My Active Topics is like a surprise Christmas. |
