The day before yesterday I finally got a chance to use my new Everything Attachments 8' grader blade on my one mile gravel road.

Before pic (this one of the better sections of the road):

After:

I really like how I can "reach out" and grab all the rock and gravel that has migrated to the sides of the road, becoming useless.  I couldn't do that with my 6' box blade since it's only 6' wide and barely outside my right tractor tires.

In this pic, note how I can not only swing the blade to move gravel horizontally, but also move the entire carriage to the right (or left) to go well outside the tractor tire track:

More pics of the EA grader blade:

Thanks for looking!

I need an excuse for another tractor, there's some killer deals out there.  JD must be getting out of the CUT business or something.

I took advantage of those deals . If anything I'd say they are getting into it even more.  The new 2 series is built in GA now, used to just be green Yanmars.

Got about 150-200 yards done today.  Next time I work on it I'll get to the washout I've got to stick a culvert in.  Probably two more days of work at least to punch her all the way through.  Pretty happy with the results so far, dropped a lot of crap from the grapple so probably end up running a rake over it once or twice to finish it up.

That grapple looks great for that operation!

I'd love to get a grapple but I have zero use for one.

Except maybe chasing the alpacas around with it while making dinosaur noises.

What round does  2.2 favor for a woods gun?

Long story but he he loved my single six .22 but wanted a gun that "loaded like Jerry Miculek's" so he found the SP101 in .22 around Christmas time. Started saving for it in Jan and between selling his baby rabbits, mowing lawns and other stuff had enough money for it in Jul. his birthday was also in Jul so we got him the holster and two speed loaders. Around the house I think he's worn it no stop since with some snake shot up first the some mini-mags. He's cleaned out a few snakes and raccoons so far. Very proud of him.

That dirt almost looks too good to use as a backstop. Find some clay or something to shoot into, sell that to people for potting soil.

Hardly any clay to be found on this property . All good, rich black dirt.  Might have something to do with why the yard needs mowed every 48-72 hours

My son and I are going to tow his 94 Cherokee over to my shop tomorrow, when he was stationed at Ft. Campbell it over heated, we are either going to replace the head gasket or just drop in a new engine, it has over 200,000 miles, so this forced me to clean some shit out of the shop, I had 2 blown engines that were taking up space, after I installed some hooks on to my B1750 bucket, it was time to get busy.  It was definitely a lot easier using the tractor then trying to use the cherry picker.  As you can see I have a lot of shit that I need to get rid of.  Also I need to cut my chain in half and get 2 more hooks, this was a 20' chain.

If anyone in the El Paso TX area needs a Jeep engine let me know, I have a 4.2 and 4.0 they need to be rebuilt, but are good for a core.

Won't be showing doing anything with my tractor for a while since my L4330 alternator went out.

I was gong to test-lift this with tractor and forks to make sure I could still take it down my hill for emplacement before deer season this year, but that will have to wait until I get the new alternator.

Any guesses as to it's weight?

Thanks!

Thanks.  It was a blast, but feels like a distant memory.  Got stalled out this summer over waiting for our house in MD to sell.  We put a total of about 350 machine hours, split 200/150 excavator/hammer. I believe the 120 is a mid 90's model, but it is made up from a couple different machines.  I ran the hammer for 50 of the 150 and got about 1/4 as much done as the guy who was on it when I wasn't and knew what he was doing.  Ray, who ran the job and who's equipment it is, said it was the first time in 40 years of road building that he did an entire job without a dozer.  It is amazing what someone who know what they are doing can do.  We didn't even need to grade it with my tractor, but I couldn't resist after hulling it 500 miles down from MD.  We ended up right at 1400 feet from the county road to the top of the hill.  We went for 20' wide but gave up on the bottom section at 16-18', as the rock was blue and hard in that part.

Shes a great woman, I'm a lucky man .  She is eager to do everything and learn.  I have the opposite problem, she can be too eager to get stuff done and wind up with a bull in the China shop approach vs figuring out the best way to do it
