$25 brand new. This was the last one. Last year I bought 10-12 wicks that were on sale for a $1. Now I have a heater to go with them.Attachment Attached File

I once bought a Sunbeam steamer/rice cooker for $10 in the Walmart clearance aisle.  Awesome cooker that lasted me 15 years

This is my favorite time to shop for hunting season.

I've scored four canvas quarter bags for half off, field dressing kits for 66% off, more gloves for more off.

I picked up my orange hunting jacket for $15 a few years ago.  Originally sold for ~$50.

I would love to buy some walmart K1 cheap. Mixes well with regular k1 for less smell while burning.

I just bought several sets of Russell long underwear at WM.  Regularly $12-clearanced for $5.

A few years ago I bought a couple Leatherman Wave tools.  Think they were $25 ea on clearance due to the packaging changing.

When I used one of those heaters years ago, I would buy a pine scented additive that really cut down on the kerosene smell. I don't remember what is was called, but it wasn't that expensive and did work well.

I like to use a 50/50 mix with regular K1. It's smells much less but the Walmart K1 is stupid expensive, even on clearance.

Take it outside to light it, let it warm up before you bring it inside.

Also, take it outside when you shut it down.

Those two actions eliminate 90% of the smell.

It varies from store to store but seasonal between seasons is a good place to start.
I mostly only see junk.

I travel (drive) quite a bit in my job. I'll stop to stretch my legs at a Wal Mart and always check the clearance isle.  If I haven't been to a store before, I'll ask the first Wal Martian I see where it is.

Usually don't find much, but once in a while I get lucky.

How much can you guys get K1 for?  I'm stuck with the $8/gal from Home Depot.

Haven't seen a Kerosene pump at a gas station since I left North Cackalaki, 12 years ago

My walmart has one section that is clearance for several areas, and same ol stuff no one buys.

But, several good areas like the camping/outdoors section sometimes have something out in the main aisle with a bunch of stuff marked clearance.

Automotive keeps their clearance stuff on their shelves for the most part.

So you need to look around.

Our clearance isles are always junk at 5% off.

We also never get the guns or ammo deals I see others post.

They always put the clearance stuff back with the sporting goods at my local Walmart so it's like a one stop shop for me. Grabbed a three-pan set of cast iron for $15 a few months ago.

I quit checking our Walmart's "clearance aisle"... most things in there are marked with the red tag that says "$27.95, WAS: $29.95"... uh yeah, thanks for the clearance prices!!! You would think they might get the hint when there are 2 full aisle of nothing but junk marked at non-clearance prices.

My pawn shops have Leatherman for $5-15, everyday.  Most are lightly used.

Most pawns in FL have anything name brand at new or slightly less than new prices.

Yes! SigOwner_P229 is right about small price cutting!
Most the the large items, at least the ones, I would want! Are marked down a
couple of dollars!!! If you want to move it!!! Mark it down at least half!!
I did fine a few bargains at my Walmart "clearance aisle"!
Few years back "HEAVY DUTY" steel shelves! $0.50 each!
I was broke, out of work! But bought two!
I did ask the department manger why so low! He said he had discretion
on how low to mark it! They, the powers above, wanted them gone!!!
So you can fine them! But not by going in every few week or months!
(Unless your just that damn lucky!!!)

PITA45

P.S. So who else, has a wife who says you live at Walmart!!

I got two of those for the same price ($30 each, normally almost $80), as well as a bunch of Thermarest Hiker inflatable mattresses for $20 each.
