Since I'm a city slicker and don't camp/backpack, it's probably superfluous, but I needed some suggestions for the GF, for Christmas and I had a Silky Saw #121-21 GOMBOY in my Ebay cart and she got me one.

It's basically the 8" blade model with medium teeth (10/30mm) and just under $28 shipped from Japan.  Took about a month, but it's not like I'm cutting firewood here in Miami, lol.

I need to go find some branches that the landscape guys pull down and see what it can do.

I've got the Estwing 16" Campers' Axe, an 18" Tramontina machete and things like an Esee 4/Izula, so I think I have things somewhat covered for any future needs.

I like their saws and use them in the yard all the time.  I have the gomboy, bigboy 2000, and the katana.  They have very sharp blades.
