Ordered another five on Thursday and got the 10% discount also. Doesn't hurt to have a couple months worth of highly portable chow on hand. Not as handy as MREs, but not nearly as expensive either.
No shipping notice yet though.

I ordered two rounds of 5 on that link over the past few months and always got the free shipping. Like I (and others) said in a previous post these are good for what they are but require full on cooking, they are not like MTN House just add water.
On a side note I always keep "case A & B MRE" on my Amazon list and it would appear that they are "We don't know when or if this item will be back in stock." I looked for some different buying options just for the heck of it and could not find any. Single MRE are at or above $20. A lot of people must be panic buying because of Corona. I used to get an A+B combo every so often whenever the prices would drop below $140~150. Currently they are almost @ $500 for the combo & $35 per MRE. I always though an MRE is worth $5 give or take but not $17... |

Update to my earlier critique.
I have prepared and eaten all of the different pouches. I must say, they are all quite good! Easy to prepare, cook fast and are delicious. My favorite is the potato soup followed by the chicken and rice. They make great stand alone meals or as a foundation to build on, depending what you have available. You can't go wrong for the price or convenience. Get'em if you can and stash'em away or enjoy them for camping. |
