Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Need a Troll Motor, Hows the Minn Kota Riptide Fortrex SF's?

Hello, after putting off buying a new trolling motor for a while I am now in need one.  Ive always eyed the Minn Kota Riptide Fortrex SF's, (want bow mount, hand control with at least 80#).  My question is are they still a decent motor or do I need to look else where?  Anybody know of any websites that will probably have the best price on one?

nice motors. if you have a hummingbird Helix 9 or bigger look for one with Ipilot link.
I just got a Terrova 36V 112lb thrust, in the process of installing it now.
craigs list has lot of use TMs right now because Minnkota just came out with its next gen stuff.
the terrova I just bout is a 1 yr old $2000 unit, picked it up for $1000 form a guy upgrading.
