Last year I bought a kayak (old style Tarpon 140) and fished out of it a few times.  Now the water is warming up and it is time to take this thing more seriously.   I will mainly be fishing the bays.



Already picked up a Lowrance Elite-4 and have it wired up to the boat.  



What are other must haves?  What do you wish you knew when you started?  Did you buy anything that was just a waste of money and time?  

A milk crate was my most useful addition. Works great with rod holders like these.

Got the crate, trying to decide if I need to take the "Property of Hyland Milk" stencil off the side.
