A friend gave me his old pearson bow after I enjoyed shooting is bear bow all afternoon. the condition of the bow seems ok. The string needs replacing, and there are no add ons on the bow just sights. So where can a total newb like me get all the information on archery? Like the name of the parts on a bow and what they r used for. Also a good place to buy supplies.

Hunting forums like this one are a really good source for information!!! Nice guys around here, if you've got questions, don't hesitate to ask!!!

Do you have a local Bow Shop near you? I always try to buy local, instead of the "big box" stores, personally!!!

Here are a few links:

http://www.archerytalk.com/vb/

http://forums.bowcountry.com/bcforums/

http://www.bowhunting.com/

http://bowsite.com/index.cfm

Since I waste all my time on ARFCOM, I really can't tell you which one is the best.

As he said, check the sticky.
Lots of good information.

And check the other threads.

It is not that anyone doesn't want to help, it has just been covered time and time again.
