I bought a beat up 1973 Starcraft Galaxy-8 Camper from a co-worker and have spent 2 months re-building it.  Here are some pics!

I'm just waiting on a seamstress, who is making nylon sides for it.  She has the material but hasn't started yet, which has me a little frustrated.

I'm ready for a road trip.  So where should I go?

Dude that's awesome.  Not only have you been able to keep something out of a junk yard or landfill, but you got a great deal and have enjoyed the experience of making something on your own.

Nice looking job! Watch out for the lift mechanism... There a bear to fix. ( I worked at an RV shop in a past life)
If'n ya want to park yer ass in eastern Maine for a bit drop me an IM. Got plenty of room and can prolly find some dead cow parts for the grill..

It's done!  I pulled it out of the garage to paint the roof and was going to open it up to take pics but the weather started to look ominous, so I had to put it back inside.

But I'm happy with the way she looks.

Here's the inside.

The nylon sides work well (at least they seem to velcro strongly in place).  I'm taking it out for a its first run this weekend.

Pretty cool.  I have been watching YouTube videos for the last week about box truck and school bus camper conversions.  Maybe one day
