I hunt for Morels.
Here's some pics of my finds. 2017 was a lean year around here. 2015 and 2016 weren't much better. I don't have pics, but i always found black trumpets, morals, hedgehogs, Cantrells, lobsters, and shaggy manes. Never sold them. And I'm still alive!!

Found what looked a heck of alot like a larch bolete lastnight as well as maybe some oysters..alas still hunting for chantrelles

i started this year, i buoght a bunch of books, and the most usefull thing was the facebook mushroom id groups, you see the same mushrooms that are in season over and over again.
till now i have collected and eaten: puffbals chantarelles aborted entelomas boletus edible |

Just east of Minneapolis. Lots of oak and pine trees. Looked to be growing directly out of the earth, not wood.

Morels every spring at the lake house - kids gather them and trade to the "fishing lady" who tells them where the crappies are biting.....its a fair trade as they won't eat Morels but gobble down the crappies

I've been looking for a class on mushroom identification, but living in a dry coastal desert doesn't afford many opportunities for mushrroms

I hunt mushroom hunters. They get lost soooo often.
