My wife and I did a 3-week, 6008 mile road-trip out West where we flew in and out of Denver. It was a fantastic trip through CO, UT, AZ, CA, OR, ID, MT, WY, and Back to CO. Too many pictures to choose from. My favorite park is Glacier. I've tried to pass on the camping bug to my kids. My daughter has been to 30 states so far. The only state I haven't been to is Hawaii...I'm probably going to have to wait until the kids leave the nest to check that one off. |

My kids were all such badasses the whole trip. We put many miles under our feet. The Grizz we saw hiking from far away in Glacier. Zoomed in with phone cam, I was happy with the distance :) That thing was devastating some berry bushes...

The Indiana Dunes are about to become a National Park. They're already part of the National Park Service but they may become the 60th Natiinal Park. My MIL did a documentary (Shifting Sands) on the Dunes and it is somewhat of a geographical and botanical oddity that has drawn researchers from around the world. The fight for it to be made started in 1916.
