You guys asking for more. I only scanned about 100 of Dad's old 35mm slides. Still have several thousand to go through. It will be a while till I have all those sorted out. And I also have thousands of my old slides to scan yet too. Of course not nearly all of them are from camping trips. We did do at least one 1 to 6 week camping trip every summer while I was growing up so there are a lot of them. I still need to scan the ones from my 1967 climbs of Devils Tower and Mt Rainier. That summer our family spent 6 weeks traveling in the west. At 16 and 17 years old Dad let my brother and I join a climb at both of those locations. We don't have a lot of pictures of the climbs. We didn't have a camera along climbing. Dad took pictures from a long distance away so you can't see a lot in them.

How many more here have a Spanish American War tent?
OH, I also have a Springfield 45/70 (1888 ramrod version cartouche 1891) that has been documented to have been issued to the NY 11th Calvary during the Spanish American War. |

I'm very jealous of all of you that are already camping this year. I still have to wait for about 3+ feet of snow to melt away before I can even think about heading out to the woods. We had a lot of snow up here this year, almost broke our record in fact.

I'm glad you enjoyed it as much as I'm enjoying your 'BOL' thread, great job btw! That thing (your whole thread) is full of win. The critter cooking on the open fire is lamb. The fish was rather tasty, and yes, we caught -a lot- of it (more than we could eat). We also hunted quite a lot. HTR. |
