That wasn't available when I started this pistol build early last year, or at least I didn't know about it.

@LRRPF52

Just order that exact upper for my build just in MLOK Also on the way:
Geissele Super Charging Handle in sand
JP Bolt
PA 1-8X ACSS-GRIFFIN-MIL in Wolf Grey
Vortex cantilever mount
Waiting to for the Faxon 12" gunner to come back in stock

The upper will probably get an Energetic Armament Vox once their released

This thread cost me some money

Finally got my can out of jail yesterday. 10 months wait for a little gun muffler.

NFA needs to go away.

Ok so if a man wanted to build a SBR 6.5 G upper.... what is the barrel of choice ?

The Flaxon 12inch ?

What is typical bolt life? That's what kept me away from 6.5, 6.8, and 7.62x39 AR's. I do want a .300blackout, or 5.

I couldn’t tell you the life of a Grendel bolt as my 16” only has maybe a few hundred rounds of that but you can buy a whole new Toolcraft BCG for under $100.

I have that in mine, purchased through the group buy for $165 I think.

AA has 11" barrels ready to go.

LaRue has SUURG complete uppers meant to be sleeved over with a specific suppressor for that upper.

Precision Firearms will make any length you want, from 7" on out, with Criterion, Bartlein, Krieger.

Ballistic Advantage has Hanson 12.5".

Odin Works has 12" with tunable gas block included.

I'm already looking at another short barrel for my next pistol build. I'm thinking shorter even.

A pistol Grendel is really an omni-role blaster, capable of HD, hunting medium game, long range (at least to 800 with solid impacts on steel that can be seen/heard), car gun.

Been shooting them by the thousands of rounds since 2009 across most configurations.

I'll let you know when I break something. So far, nothing.

I've only broken 5.56 bolts once I went over 10k rounds in high volume, compressed schedules.

Right. I'm thinking in shtf terms. Want a strong system is all. I've heard 6.5 eats through barrels as well. I know nothing on the matter myself. All I own is 5.56 and .308. Been considering a round to bridge the gap. .308's are just too damn heavy and I'm a strong guy. Probably doing a 12.5" .308.

When people talk about that they're referring to Creedmoor, not Grendel. The Grendel barrels should last a long time.

Wish I would have had this option when I was in the Army.

Imagine hit probability like an M24 or better, with 50% of the recoil, more compact than an M4, and suppressed, with far superior ballistics to the AK at close range.

28rd magazines too.

I was tempted buy the LaRue SURG but thought it would be pretty heavy.. I like the looks of your light weight there ! I wanted to run a Titanium can.. like the Q Trash Panda but wanted a barrel still very accurate... maybe my LaRue 6.5 G has spoiled me.. that thing will shoot 1/3 MOA lol

Nothing like this existed back then, but having an M4-like profile that also works as a DM/Light Sniper system sells itself all day long.

It would be great to have in the Sniping community with our own special request ammo stream already as a norm.

The LaRue SUURG I held at SHOT was very handy and lightweight.

My barrel on this is pretty heavy. The shank is full diameter for about 4 times the length it really needs to be.
