Pretty much late everywhere, unless you're planting an everbearing type. The normal plants are blooming and starting to set fruit even this far north. You can still plant them though. They'll spend their energy getting established and sending out runners this year. You'll be GTG for next spring. |

Our WalMarts still have the Quinalt variety (everbearing) in root form, and they also sell the already-growing plants.
We bought the already started ones last year and got a respectable harvest.... clipped off the berries and flowers for the first month, then let them go. I probably wouldn't clip them if I were doing it again. |
