Black diamond makes an AA powered light that can run on an adapter. Great light for the money.

I have no experience with this light but it sounds like what you want.

You may want a Goal Zero Light a Life.
Eta- Yep, This is what you want. Keep an eye out as these can usually be had for under $30 each especially at Costco Roadshows. |
