I've bought it on ebay before fit fine but seemed to tear easier than the original.

It's been a long time, but I seem to remember diameter shrink ratios as well as a possibility of it shrinking in length too. Also, I'm thinking about putting something to deadening the sound where the lug makes contact with the stand. Moleskin ? Rubber spray ? |

Rust-Oleum's Leak Seal worked like a charm !
I sprayed it all over the area where the cable is inserted. Really quieted it down.  Attached File |

Good idea OP. That's my biggest complaint about mine. It's so noisy getting it set up.

Wrap electrical tape around the chain/cable.
