Got 6 for $15 each at the local funshow.    Excellent condition, but green.    Looking for a spout.     The best of my research says they are WW2 cans, but i'm not finding any term for their exact terminology.

Looks like a Blitz style can to me with a 1.25 bung

That picture looks to be a blitz fuel can which is modeled after the metal USGI can.
I would suspect the cans you have are either:
Blitz cans that someone painted green.
-or-
surplus USGI cans.
Whether they are WWII vintage, I am not sure exactly how to tell unless they are dated somewhere.
I think the Army used metal jerry cans for like 50yrs.

We used the metal cans when I was in the army back in the 70's and 80's for holding gas, diesel and oil.

If you have not seen it, this website has a lot of info which might help you identify your cans.
There are spouts available, but they are getting harder (read: expensive) to find, but you never know. Check army surplus stores.
You might be better off with a super siphon.

Jerry fuel can writeup, FWIW:  Jerry can paper

Like the author, I'm not a fan of the Blitz style jerry cans.  But if it's all you can get right now, make lemonade.

Good luck.
