I got my order of reduced sodium MRE's from Thatdailydeal.com today.  I am unfamiliar with this type of MRE.  What is the practical shelf life?

I believe they are rated for 2 - 3 years.

The ones I got last year expired n 2018.

There's a date on the entree.

Thanks..

Doesn't that sort of defeat the purpose of an MRE?  How disappointing.

Not really.  Their purpose is being pre-cooked food.in meal-sized portions.  2-3 years isn't bad.  That's probably a safe estimate.  If kept in a climate controlled environment, they could last another year or two.
