Don't know about quality of items, maybe someone could comment.

Buy the radio and get the FAK for free.

And support a good cause.

For anything more than the occasional power outage, the Eton radios are nothing more than the usual novelty Chinese junk.

Various problems:
The "battery" doesn't last long or hold a charge.
The tiny solar panel takes hours of intense sunlight to fully charge.
The plastic selectors and crank teeth break easily under normal use.
The crank will not charge phones reliably, and often will not work at all as the radio battery will not hold a charge long enough to power the phone battery.
Reception is poor unless you're outside, on top of your house and away from any form of interference like buildings and tall trees.

On top of those, the radios have the overall poor QC of Eton products. I would at most pay $5 for one of these considering how they rarely last more than one or two uses during a power outage, but not $60.

Side note, the Red Cross is far from a good cause, they are a predatory "charity" seeking no more than their own profit. Check how much they make asking for donations against how much they actually shell out during a disaster .

Safety first for candles. They are good for barter and help you blend in. LED lights have a different glow and might bring attention to your place.

Liked the first video on that page. Red Cross people put their lives in danger showing up at disasters to help others.

Here's one that is 98.5%.

Do you know anything about Operttaion Blessing? Owned by Pat Robertson. He got caught using his OB planes and trucks to haul his diamond mining equipment to and from Africa. No wonder it is so high a percentage.

I'm not going to say the Red Cross is perfect but they're a good organization. I see what they do everyday for fire victims and I've seen the work they do during regional disasters first hand. Not all the money the receive is distributed because they maintain a pretty substantial response capability. Maintaining that capability requires money which is why they shouldn't be judged on how much of their money is distributed.
