Yes I am a bastard - New Ranger 21Z ready for my abuse on Monday.  This will be my first Ranger, but 5th bass boat. My last three were Tritons.

My tritons all have held up well. I started with a TR20, then a TR22, Then a 21X with a verado. (for sale by the way)

Only complaints with triton is minor stuff - deck lids, locks, etc. Major stuff always has been good - transom, livewells, etc.

Went with a ranger this time to simply try it out and to support FLW who is supporting bass fishing out west. BASS abandoned the west coast.

Well, I put the first hour on the Z21 yesterday... and everything seemed good. The ranger is definitely heavier than my trition, but it planes out faster.

The next two hours are breakin under 4000rpm - and never full throttle for more than 1 minute.

Fun.

Almost to 3 hours now... did a little pre-fishing on the Columbia River Wallula Pool.

Sure is nice to catch 30 smallies in 90 degree heat and flat water.
