You know that photo would be a great photo for high school to use for a "This is what happens when you have unprotected sex in high school!" ads!!

Congratulations! It's a hell of a lot harder to do with a family then it does when your 18 and have nothing to worry about buy yourself! As I'm sure you have seen that!

Bettering yourself and pushing for higher education when one is an adult with other major responsibilites is a huge accomplishment, Congrats.
But I agree with what the others have said; leading by example and having those children see first hand your dedication to that degree will be a memory they will carry with them for a long time, and perhaps motivate them to follow your lead in seeking higher education, and simply sticking to your goals.
I don't know how you can put a value on that. Well done, Dad.

Congrats!

Having received an Associates by attending night classes while working, and then hacking away at (but never completing) a 4 year degree, I know what you sacrificed.

And while raising a family!!!

My hat's off to you.

As has been said, what a GREAT example you are for your children.

I would say DO NOT GIVE UP.  That may be a bit hollow.

I didn't believe it was going to happen until I actually was doing the paperwork after the ceremony.  With that mindset I had become my own biggest burden.

So if you must take one course, then do each assignment, and take each test in turn.  DO BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN DO IT.  Then do each project with the faith that you can do it.

I hope that helps

Congradulations, that's no easy road you traveled.  My wife just got her BS as well.  I will say though, after looking at your picture, the first thing I thought of was the album cover from  AC/DC Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap,

Yeah, yeah...I know   -It was the first thing I thought of when I saw the pic––at my graduation in HS, they told all of us 'pirates' we had to shave. Seriously though PA, CONGRATULATIONS!!. High school was the only learning institution I wore 'the cap' for, but it is a great feeling of accomplishment! It shows a lot of personal 'drive' especially with a family and daily job/commitments.

That's fantastic! Congratulations brother

Back in the late 90s I got out of the gun QC business, went back to school, and started a new career in IT. While I certainly miss being around guns all day I couldn't be happier with my current career choice. It's never too late to change your path.

I'm very happy for you PA. You deserve this

Wonderful accomplishment.  Congratulations!

And I bet you can hide all sorts of bug out gear under those gowns!  That might be one advantage to being in the orthodox clergy.  A man can hide a lot of hardware under robes.

Best wishes for the future.
