I bought several of these jerry cans. I noticed that they say "Please note that these cans say "Not For Fuel Use" to comply with California regulations."

So are these still good to go for gasoline?

Yes, those cans are definitely for fuel use.  They put the "not for fuel use" disclaimer out there to satisfy the beaurocrats who have enacted restrictions on that type of fuel container in certain states.  Fill 'em up!  The are excellent gas cans.

If you bought several of them, just what exactly were you going to do with them!

Might you be associated to the company??????

Water cans ship with nozzles that are illegal on fuel cans so they don't say these are fuel cans.

Or one of those wacky liberal echo-terrorists trying to show how those cans will be used for fuel and not should not be for sale, even if marked not for fuel.

OP, in case you are unaware, there is an informative thread, FUEL CAN ORACLE, that is tacked at the top in the Survival Discussions forum.

No to both of these.  I just bought a couple for myself and a couple for my father-in-law (one for each vehicle in each of our homes). I saw a sticky somewhere on the site that pointed me in this direction. I saw their website and thought, "Wow, $50 for a gas can." Then I remembered my trouble trying to use the Walmart 5 gal red can and the nightmare of that design. Spilled more gas from that can because of the weird design and the stupid nozzle they put with it. So I pulled the trigger and they just arrived at my door today.

Yes, the CARB compliant cans suck.

Try using that P.O.S for awhile and you'll figure out why people are still paying a premium for MFC's.

they are just covering their asses. Not that it will cover yours if you have fuel in them and anyone has the ability to legally fine or hassle you over it.

I bought prebans just in case.

Carb––designed by assholes who have never poured gas in their lives but presume to tell us how it should be done!

You're generous...I'd charge $50 a can for testing.

It's funny.
A lot of the people that buy the NATO or MFC cans also use a super siphon instead of a non-CARB nozzle.
I would think the super siphon would work just as good with those plastic Jerry cans.

My main concern with those plastic cans would be how thick they are compared to the plastic MFC.
The biggest problem I have with the cans from walmart is swelling in the summer. (It's HOT here in Texas)

I have tried lots of different fuel cans, the CARB compliant cans don't suck, the CARB nozzles suck.
