You might have a problem with that in your care unless you also have other tools with it

How about a good old ax handle. Cheap and good.
Link Posted: 6/13/2009 5:38:30 PM EST
I don't know, that is a pretty evil looking hammer. Better get one now before it shows up on the next AWB list.
Link Posted: 6/13/2009 5:38:35 PM EST
Why not just get a Stanley FUBAR? Those things are wicked looking!
Link Posted: 6/13/2009 7:42:22 PM EST
When using the hammer for zombie defense, does one keep a round (nail) in the chamber (magnetic nail holder)?

Just thinking about the head injuries that some forensic pathologist or anthropologist will be looking at after an attack with one of those is mind boggling.

cuz that thing will get stuck in someones skull, then you would have to rock it back n forth to unstuck it and when you do that, all the zombie babies squish out.

Not legal in some states. I know in Mass you need a permit to have one.

Get your CCDW license and you can carry anything legal to buy.

Very ture. I have a buddy that was a foreman for a grading company and he kept a hatchet in his truck that he used for pounding stakes into the ground. He got pulled over and was arrested, charged and convicted of carrying a deadly weapon or some such BS. So if you are going to carry a hammer, keep some other tools w/ it and put it in a bag or something so you can say it is an emergency tool kit.

same here (handgun only)

now as a side note I can carry a gun but not a tazer or stungun so I have no other choice but to use deadly force if needed

Hit someone with that and get back to me about how legal it was

Don't get me wrong i'd use anything i could get my hands on to defend myself just saying thinking because you use a hammer or anything else it's going to make it ok is just silly.

I am not saying it would be "OK", and I am talking about legally having it with you.

If you keep a rifle or handgun in your car and you are traveling to another state it might be an issue.

Having a defensive improvised tool that is legal to have in an auto is not "silly" it is another viable option.

I was at the Home Depot today and compared both the Dead On and the Fubar side by side. The Dead On got my vote.

I didn't say it was silly to have one i said it was silly to think it would be ok if you(anyone) used one.

While you may not have intended it that way calling a hammer a legal to carry in your vehicle defensive tool sure implies it's OK to use as a defensive tool.
Remember your on a board where people have actually asked how to take a dump in the woods and were serious.

Sorry i was just keeping things real i thought the wink would tip anyone off.

I keep a hatchet in the truck. Actually, I just broke the handle this weekend, so I don't have it at the moment, but I've still got the pistol.
