Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Mossy 835 for bear?

Hi good folks,
   I've got a Mossberg 835 12 gauge shotgun that states "not for use with slugs" so do you think 00 buck would be okay for bear defense? Blackies in these parts run 150-250 pounds.

You can get an 18.5" barrel with a 3-1/2" chamber for your 835 from Mossberg. They don't list them on their website, but you can order one through customer service.
