I am thinking about getting a couple of the Mono Vaults in the event I need to bury my guns and ammo. Given who we have for a president the need may arise. I have used my foodsaver to vacum seal a few of my 5.56 bandoliers/ with ammo just to see what it would look like. It vacum seals very well, but I am concerned that the procedure may damage the casings. I am curious if anyone has tried vacum packing any of their ammo. Is it a good idea or not??

I have vaccum packed loose ammo, and it had no ill effects on it, I was concerned the tips of the bullets would possibly puncture the plastic on extreme vaccuming, but they did fine.
I also dug up this article I read a while back about a guy who did bury his stuff for 15 years and it came out fine, weapon and ammo

Buried Stash

Hope it helps

Thanks for the reply. Hopefully we will not have to bury them. One just does not know in these trying times. God Bless America or at least what is left of it.

I'm of the "if it's time to bury them, it's time to dig them up" mindset.
