Was asked by a friend and wasn't sure of an answer. I recall someone (Marine) mentioning he could buy on base, but not sure if this was correct. Not even sure if it's at a PX or ?...

I've never seen them in any of the 5-6 PX's I've been in over the years. Army surplus stores, sure. Sporting goods stores, sure. But the PX doesn't usually sell stuff like that when guys on base would get it threw their unit if needed.

I have seen them in the Navy Commisary for about $7 each in the past.

I saw them at the Fort Hood Commissary a while back.
Just a few loose singles, about $7.00 ea. as I recall.
I talked to one of the people working there and he said that was all they had and they don't have them all the time.

The commissary at Peterson AFB has them for about $7 a meal.  I'm not sure if the one at fort Carson does, or not.  I'll have to look the next time I'm there.

we buy ours at Parris Island Marine Corp Recruit Depot commissary.  Around $7 each.  as you enter the store...they are on the right side shortly after you enter.  Have several Pelican cases full of them for hurricane evac kits.

You can get them at the comiscarry.

They don't come up when searching for "meal", "MRE" or "meal ready to eat"

The Commisary, not the exchange, usually carries these when available.
$7 plus 5% upcharge is $88/case.

They're about $4.50 the a couple of months back at JBLM McChord's side Commissary. The selection isn't super nice or anything, just a rack full of them.

They're about 5 or 6 at the McGuire Commissary.  However, in my case, I just order them from the flight kitchen when I do locals.  $3.45/ea, that way.
