Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Katadyn Water filter........Which one for home use??

I have been looking for a filtering system for the house in case of earthquake etc.  I live in the country and have a 1 1/2 acre pond in the back yard.  

I was wondering what you guys would recommend for such a scenerio......I have been looking at these two from Katadyn and was wondering what the differences are.  The Gravidyn is $15.00 cheaper.  

I have friends that are missionaries in Africa and the Katadyn was the one they only will use.  They were not sure which one it was though.
