I'm in the market for a new emergency radio and have been looking recently at the Kaito Voyager. I like the features (AM/FM/SW/NOAA, solar panel, dynamo, lights, USB) but am a little shy after seeing some of the reviews on Amazon. There are as many 1 star ratings as 5 star. Does anyone here have any real world experience with this radio? Is there another one out there with the same features that I'm missing?

M8, that radio looks sweet especially if you're into SW. I'm really looking for something with alternative power sources though, so I don't think that one would be for me. Thanks for posting though. I hope you like the radio. Let us know how it is.

Another option when looking at Kaito is to consider is to buy a TecSun from a reputable eBay seller (usually out of HK,) same manufacturer and it saves some money.
