With the 7000 and the Cobra I couldn't ever hear crap on the higher HF bands. Ever since I got my Flex 3K and the Radiowavz FTD and started working phone on the higher bands, Japan and Australia have been my Holy Grails. I could hear them weakly and occasionally with that setup. They were out there, teasing me.

Moving to the new QTH I've been off the air for over a month. Now that I'm back on the air for less than a week I managed to bag one of my Grails, Japan on 15M. It is much quieter at the new QTH and the 160M dipole I have there is big. I'm still waiting on my 220 foot end fed, but maybe I'll bag Australia before I get it!
