If this is the radio. the frequency is from 151 - 165 MHZ, so if Im not mistaken, those arent usable frequencies in the amateur band. I may be wrong though. |

You are correct I'm a firefighter and we just got new radios installed on our trucks I just couldn't watch them toss all these in the trash they all still work to my knowledge

Put them on ebay and use the $$$ to buy a proper ham radio. While they might not bring enough to completely cover the ham radio, it's a start.
