Might be there, might not.  We have a 50+ degree temperature drop coming Saturday evening, that's going to last into Sunday.  Not sure if I'm willing to go outside and put up my 40 meter antenna in that cold weather.

Yep, it's 18 degrees outside.  Not the end of the world, but at the same time, I'm not too crazy about  going out and putting up the 40m antenna, either.

Installing a new antenna in cold temperature will add some gain. Let's do simple math...... (A+Q)* t2=F..... or about 8 db gain. Doing this when it snows will improve EM field saturation by 20%. I say - Go for it!

I familiar with  the cold/bad weather gain, and I guess there is something to be said for that.  

Putting it up in that weather isn't a lot of fun, but having to take it back down when it's cold (and dark) really sucks.
