I decided to clean up the weapons / ammo / accessories both in the garage, bedroom, closet, safe area etc etc.

Found extra AR15 mags I forgot all about !  Sweet !   Decided to count all of them, just for shits & giggles total.  127.

Crap, that works out to be 31.75 per AR15.

Let's clean those garages !

I also found some brand new snares from 2005 I bought but have never used.

I will post them on the pay it forward thread.

It was only abut 30-35 mags I found, but when I added it to the stash and counted all of it, it was 127.

It was a mix of P-Mags, colt mags, some are still in the box.  About 20 of them are 20 rounders.

I think that maybe you need a few more ARs to bring balance to your mag ratio -

I feel like you purposely tricked me with a vague subject line so you could brag about your 127 mags. Well you win sir. I do not have nearly that many. I feel used, I hope you are happy.

One time I found a box with 3 SA battlepacks of .308 that I didn't remember buying.  It was like Christmas in July!!!

Maybe if you clean your garage and/or closet maybe you will find something too

Recently cleaned out and reorganized my ammo storage and found two cases of Wolf .45 ACP (1000 rounds total) that I'd forgotten that I had.  Picked them up years ago when they were around 7-10 cents a round.  Shot a couple of cases at the time but didn't like their poor performance and the way they crapped up my guns.

Fast forward to today and 50 cents per round, and I like those Wolf rounds a lot more for some cheap shooting.  I'll just put in the extra time cleaning my guns.  Should work just fine in my S&W 625, and not have to worry about the feed problems I had with my autos.

i just moved, i found al kinds of stuff i'd forgotten i had... we're out of the old place but not settled into the new place by a long shot. right now i'd settled for just being able to find the floor in even a couple of the rooms...

p.s. who the fuck designs and builds a house with no linnen(and or other stuff) closet in the bathrooms?..

p.p.s. getting organised very likely could take a while...

ETA: on a happy note our monthly housing payment is going down from $1025 a month rent(no utilities included) to a $750 a month mortgage(also no utilities included) at a fixed 2.5% interest rate. we'l be spending a little more in gas money to commute the 20 or so minutes instead of 3 minutes to work. but it also gets us out of an apartment in a town of 25-45K(depending on wether or not the college is in session) and into a much smaller town of approx. 2.5K where we can start growing some of our own food, becomeing more self sufficient, and putting our monthly housing payment towards our equity instead a landlords bank account...

I have no idea how many mags I have. Probably right around 150 or so. Sadly that's barely enough to get me 10 per rifle...
I'm even worse off with AK mags. I think I have about 40, which comes out to 4/rifle.

The good news is that I can only shoot one at a time so when you look at it that way I have A LOT of mags for each rifle.

Since I am unemployed right now I have been organizing my preps. So far I have found a new pair of Bates boots, 10 Pmags NIW still in the shipping case, 2 battle packs South African M193 and 800 rounds of Radway ss109 ammo still in the can with bandoleers. I have even found extra web gear I forgot I had. It is so bad my wife is telling me if I see something on the internet that I need to just go out in the garage and look for it.

As far as the number of AR mags per weapon it seems 10 mags per weapon should be a good start. If a basic load out is 6 then add 1 in the weapon that still leaves 3 as replacements. Now multiply that by 4 or 5 rifles that would be 12 to 15 spare mags just waiting to be replacements.

Well then keep buying until she suggests "slowing down a bit".

I was digging thru the safe the other day and found a new Ergo grip and a new curved trigger guard.  Now if I could just find a rifle or two that I forgot about!
