Car GPS - AR15.COM

I am looking at getting a car GPS for some summer trips I am taking
Would like to spend between $200-250
Bluetooth/hands free phone is something I am interested in

Any reccomendations

Looks like last years Nuvi's 660/680/760/780/880 are in that price range and all have good ratings
Having never used one before I am not sure exactly what I need or want

Not stuck on any brand

Any reccomendations?

I've had 3 Garmins. 2 got stolen and I keep going back in spite of the fact that their customer service is rude arogant and self centered. I have only had to call the twice over 4-5 years but I hate the thought of calling them.

I have, for the most part, been very pleased with my cheapo Mio 220. I think it hosed me once or twice but I still love it.

I have 4 garmin's. 2 of which are nuvi's. I love them. I haven't had any problems with customer service from them. I broke the screen on my first nuvi a month after I bought it, called to send it in and see where to send the check to pay, and they told me not ot worry about paying for it, they replaced it under warranty even though I broke it.

I have a Nuvi 760 and the hands free works quite well. I bought at Thanksgiving last year from Walmart.com and paid $248.

It's a very nice GPS.

used my nuvi thursday on a trip 80 miles away got me righrt there even rerouted me when i couldn't turn in time. I really like the way it ties into my audio system through the mp3/ipod jack so i can controll the audio through the stereo.

Get the mount that sits on the dash with the grippy material on the bottom and it will stay put.

I dont have bluetooth ot trafic so i cant comment on these.

Most everyone i know uses one of he nuvi series.

A big +1 on the Nuvi. I've been using one for three years now trouble free. It works better than the one built into my wifes Tahoe.
