I have an older FT-101ZDMK3 a FT-8900R, FT-60R, and UV-5R+, however I live in an area that has an HOA, so I'm planning on trying to conceal a mini buddipole I have on my deck railing. Either that or convince my bank that I need a tarheel and run the antenna off my truck, or a MFJ-1788. Really want to be able to get on the 40m freqs (I know Extra isn't necessary for that). Zach |

I've got HOA issues as well. Buy some dark brown insulated 14ga copper wire. It's almost invisible on my roof. I put a nice little 40m off center fed dipole up there and it's working for me on 40/20/15/10/6
