Northeast Texas will have a Yankee infestation in min-March.

I'm pumped. However, I REALLY hope it doesn't turn into something similar like my prairie dog obsession. That started with a 10/22 concerted to 17 Mach 2 and an AR-15 and has blossomed to 7 rifles that leave the safe once per year. It will be around an 18 hour drive each way(as opposed to 11 to the prairie dog grounds) so that may limit opportunities some.

Something tells me the volume of Youtube streaming into my office the next few days may be somewhat higher than normal!

Had a great time with Joe last March. He will give you an opportunity or two or three..... Just don't drop a tree limb on him

It will be here before you know it, I'm looking forward to it. Got on hogs last night and the night before that...making a 90.9 % contact ratio this year.

Got link to this outfitter?

THIS is how I found him. After talking on the phone with him I was sold.

I've used outfitters/guides for other types of hunts in the past, and Joe sounded like the kind of guy I want to go out with. The way I figure, if I'm going to take time off work, put gas into my truck, and drive a long distance I want to put the odds in my favor. I have a hunch Joe will do just that.

The only part of this trip I'm not drooling over is that TX doesn't recognize the MN Permit to Carry. Is open carry in the field allowed? You know, just in case a criminal element decides to throw tree limbs at me?

Dont ask Joe about criminals...

I've just about got the side by side the way I want it set up for hog hunting, I'm looking into getting a bigget 'stinger' muffler to set a-top the stack.

Jan. 15 or there abouts the bottom opens back up for me at the Sabine river, going to put the snorkles to good use. I'll be able to get to alot more land than all previous trips.

When it gets flooded it it like 4 inches to 4 feet of water covers 600 to 900 acers of prime hog land.
