the other day I had the one that comes with canned seafood, it was pretty good

I keep Rice-a-Roni and Zatarains on hand for every day use. We have approx 50 boxes on the shelf but I do not consider them a good prep item as the ingredients and packaging are not the best suited for long term storage. I have used 2 year old RaR without any issues though.  In a SHTF the flavorings would be good to streach out plain rice.

We are actually having Zatarains tonite, NewOrleans style, for dinner with porkchops and greenbeans.  We added an extra cup of plain rice into the mix to increase the amount of rice which is being served. Good stuff
