Go search for the Class Action Lawsuit on the stuff.  Something like 400calories a day, or some crap like that.

Maybe as a 2 week setup, but you'd starve if you tried using them for longer.

Although, I've been told the food is OK, just serving sizes are tiny.  If you ain't got, get.  If you've got, get more.  If you think this will suffice for several months, triple that amount.

Our Costco won't carry them because of the suit.

It ends up being a fairly decent deal for the amount of food you get but do not go by how long it says it will last you. Look at the calories per serving and remember that you need 1500 calories minimum a day to figure out how long it will last. Also, don't forget to look at the water requirements for everything. Food is easy to store away but it doesn't mean anything if you do not have enough water to survive. Storing dehydrated food makes water even more precious. You can get the same amount of food in canned goods that doesn't need water for less.

Check the site nutristorage.com.  They are the company that makes it.  I looked at it and if I remember correctly it would last about 21 days if you ate a 2000 calorie a day diet.  I keep going back and forth as to purchasing a couple of these or not.  One advantage is it is contained light and stores for a long time.  Will need water though.

Am I reading the site incorrectly, or does each package makes FIVE servings?  So if you open one pack, you have to make all five servings or figure out a way to re-seal the package.  Not a good idea if you are using this stuff for just one person!

Or if you are like me, you will need to eat all of those servings as one meal! *urp*h.gif

You are reading it right. However, as mentioned the servings are small and one person will pretty much eat one pack per day.
