6 check-ins on 40 meters.
18 check-ins on 80 meters. Thanks guys, for your participation! I'll mention again. If you can't get through with SSB Phone, try CW. You can program CW text memories in many modern radios. Set memory 1 as your call sign and memory 2 for my signal report. Just your call and signal report is sufficient enough for a CW check-in. CW can get through much better than SSB Phone. |

Will be in the shack at around 7:40 pm.
Y'all think 200 watts from my FTDX101MP will be enough or should I use the amp? |

I think you should have the amp ready, just in case.

Andrei came in good here. Solid 59 vs nothing the last month or so. I haven't checked in since the main net was on 40m. I haven't talked to anyone actually since then on HF. Glad to see the 7300 still works.

Strong signal on 7.285. I thought Andrei's voice sounded more natural (that's a good thing) than it usually does.

80 is doing 80 things tonight as is typical. NCS is 5-3 easy copy to 3-3 50% copy in seconds...

From here in WA it sounds like the freq is already in use. All I hear is people walking all over each other.
|
|
|
Don't have an antenna up to check in to the net but I'm hearing the NCS on 80 5 x 9 on an indoor wire strung along the floor.
|
|
|
NC, you are a 5x9+ into Washington DC

Gyprat, it sounds good on tone and bass here. No need to adjust in my opinion.
Are you using the same michrophone? |

I should see it in a couple months. I will do a build thread start to finish with all the pertinent info. |

My soldering irons may not be good enough, either. An expensive project like this should be done with the proper tools. |

My frustration was using old free mystery solder. Once I broke down and bought real fine diameter solder things came much easier. certainly not a master at it but soldering connectors on coax is a place to start. |
