Overall bland but definitely edible. I have put up decent amounts of hot sauce and other flavorings. Salt is probably the best to store and would make the meat downright good. I am going to get some more of their products before another price increase.

I've got some stuff from 2003 that needs salt, but still more than edible. Plus a great addition to soups/stews and other dehydrated/FD stuff that needs to cook a while.

And, yes, seasonings are your best friend. I've got a few cases of ground beef that really need seasoned before you use them. Seriously seasoned. Didn't know beef could be that tasteless since the MRE Freeze Dried Beef Patty went out of style.
