i orderd a 18" varmit eop from my ffl dealer here in vancouver, wa a week ago, was curiuos how long it takes to fill an order. and is there a special bracket i need to get to mount a bipod on the rifle ... thanx
Generaly running 4-6 weeks on a build, but often shorter. The hand guard has a swivel stud located on it that can be used either for a sling or for mounting a bipod. Some bipods require an adaptor, while most do not. Steve/RRA
I'm coming up on 8.5 weeks for an upper. I odered from a dealer in Austin Tx in early Jan. Should I assume my order got dropped? I have a class coming up the end of this month that I wanted to use the RRA upper for, and thought ordering in Jan would be ok. Anything I can do to get the order here in time?
We can only make generalized statements on lead times, which may vary greatly depending on what was ordered and component availability at any given time. We have literally thousands of barrels going through at any given time, with some (particularly chrome-lined) not always being in stock. Once an out of stock component does come in, we use evry part that we can to get back-orderd product out, in date order from oldest to newest. Steve/RRA
How about stanless barrels I orderd a NM from dealer Jan 20 ?? Steve I know things take time to make I work in a machine shop sometimes vender runs out of stock so things time .But Is this a normal time for a gun to be made under normal condisions??
Four to six weeks is "normal", and we're gaining ground on a lot of the builds. Barrels that have a predictable usage rate are generally always in stock, but those that we don't use that often or which see tremendous swings in usage or "rushes" are the ones that are hard to keep on hand at all times.
