I have a standard -15 in my -10 now because I did not know the difference when I did the build. (Will probably swap out after my desert vacation). Does it make that big a difference for reliability? I would think so because they made it that way. Magpul, any thoughts?
The biggest difference between the AR10 and AR15 buffers is the length. The .308-pattern buffers are shorter than the AR15 buffers, due to the extra cartridge length.
Have you tried to get the bolt to lock back with the bolt catch? If you've got an AR15 buffer, you won't get the bolt back far enough for the bolt stop to come up in front of the bolt...
