Yep I have just been using a J-arm/Rhino mount on my PT helmet it works pretty well I am sure I could get by with that setup. The two things I would improve on is first maybe alittle more soild lock up no wiggle in the J-arm/Rhino and I would like alittle better system of stowage for the pvs-14 when flipped up out of use. Thats why I ordered the INVG mount after watching the video and PM a few owners/users of the INVG it sounded like it should meet my needs pretty well. I really like how the 14 stores tight, low, and front of helmet when not in use on the INVG compared to the Rhino which last night when I was out strolling around with my Helmet I KO a tree limb with my 14/Rhino in the up position I am surpised it didn't knock the 14 free because it jarred my head back. For me stomping around in the woods theres alot of things to hang up your PVS-14 when in the up position thats the main reason I looked for a a new mount with lower profile when not in use and still on the helmet. I flip my 14 up alot for using my thermal for scanning or just walking around on a bright moon night I find it easy/faster to move without NV sometimes.
