well, if it was real simple i really think i would have found it, i have many years experience with m-16/ar-15 type rifles. im pretty sure its the bolt carrier, and im not going to pay 100$ for a new bolt carrier plus pay a smith to look over a brand new rifle. no way should a new rifle perform like this. ive checked the gas rings on the bolt, gas system, tried MANY USGI mags, replaced my old mag springs and followers, tried allot of diferent ammo, tightened and loosend the mag catch/release, and made doubly sure the weapon was clean and lubed correctly. ive already spent 25.00 refurbishing my mags and id rather bushmaster look at and correct whatever is wrong, its a brand new rifle. beleive me, i wish it was just something simple...ive been working on every lil simple thing it could be, and have spent 3 sundays at the range trouble shooting this rifle (along with other people experienced with ar-15s) and ive tried everything i could to try to fix the problem.
but that was a good suggestion.
