These are very handy to have when you need a good zero

Let me make sure I have this straight in my head. After watching the video Im having one of those do you move the front sight left to move POA left moments.

Set target at 25 yards/ meters. Aim at reflective strip in the bullseye. Lay down a group. Adjust laser to move the group to which ever circle you want to have your zero set at. For instance on a Peq15, you would aim for the bullseye, the rounds would land in one of the circles off to the right.

Confirm zero by aiming at bullseye, fire a group, which should land in one of the circles.

Correct?

I guess what is throwing me off is the idea that the laser would hold POA at the bullseye and rounds impacting to the lower right in the circles. Seems like this would throw everything off at a distance, but Im sure I am just overthinking everything.

Depends on the laser, the PEQ's are easy as the lasers are on the right side and so your POI needs to be just slightly left of you POA on a PEQ/ATPIAL

On a DBAL the IR and visible are located on both sides so the zeroing will be different and read the instructions because zeroing a DBAL is a motherfucker, you need to positively load the spring tension on the DBaL's.

To make a long story short you need to keep the laser inline with the bore but offset slightly so your laser doesn't cross the bullets trajectory at extended ranges which will lead to missed shots at extended ranges.

Well I have a Peq15c ordered so no worries on the DBAL.

So in laymen's terms. Aim at bullseye. adjust group to appropriate circle. When zeroed I will be aiming at bullseye and the rounds will impact in the appropriate circle and then it is correctly zeroed for an offset zero.

Pretty much dude. These targets are great especially at 50/100 yards as you really need to have good fundamentals to hold your laser on a 1 in reflective square. It'll end up helping you on marksmanship just while zeroing and you be amazed at how tight your group is

The beauty of the PEQ is the slaved lasers so once you get the visible zeroed your IR is also zero'ed if you can't make it to the range at night.

Yea Im looking forward to it. Before I had always zeroed to an optic. It worked for what I did with it, but I would rather do it the correct way.

Im definitely looking forward to the visible laser portion. My PEQ-2a I had was near impossible to zero on paper due to so much bloom even on low setting. Couldn't really tell where it was aiming other than on paper. I settled on the shots hitting center of mass on a IPSC target. The visible laser should make it a little easier. Ill just get it close and call it good enough.

That pretty much it. Height over bore will be much the same as a RDO. The only offset is windage. In close engagements when shooting center mass, negligible. Headshots, pucker up.
