Folks,
I was just made aware of the " leaked-info " PredatOBR thread this morning … and have dug into it a little. I don’t review every thread and sometimes do and sometimes don't respond to some that I do read. It is our policy to not give out information on back-orders. So our apologies, it just causes more threads and the circle never ends. Here's the deal, not wanting to ask our customers to use their expensive ammo to do T&E for us, we picked out a handful of folks that could quietly shoot the piss out the new PredatOBRs and give us quiet feedback. Leaks happen…we should have readied ourselves in case one got spotted in the wild. One of those rifles got sold ... go figure ... As for our PredatOBR (and other rifle) customers… First of all, thanks for waiting. Since way before the election, supply of rifle parts had started to become scarce, and though we make a large percentage of our rifle, there are still a few that we get outside. Matter of fact, we've had to throw together some emergency setups for items we assumed early-on would always be in large supply. Events in December then made a bad situation worse. After New York blind-sided us with their overnight anti-gun laws, we made a quick decision to ship lowers to who we could as fast as we could. We still believe that to be a good move. At the time, there was no telling if pending legislation was going to undermine the pending orders. All that being said, we are working diligently towards the release of PredatOBRs to our waiting-on-the-list folks. We look to start shipping them in the next few weeks. Obviously, from the bootleg photos, the first to ship will be the 7.62 PredatOBR’s, followed later by the 5.56 PredatOBR’s. For those of you beyond mad with angst, we apologize - we're just making stuff and selling it when it gets made. Mark LaRue |

So according to the part in red, it looks like the 12-18 months delay quoted in the other thread was pure unadulterated horse shit? |

Mark, you should've put the wrapping on the rifles, like Car Manufacturers do- when they release a new car into the wild. That way, they cannot be filmed easily.
|
|
Wait, you mean there is a rational and logical reason! Surely you jest sir!

Thank you, this will put so many at ease and get the puddle of drool started

It's nice to see this thread to settle a few folks down. I have yet to see LaRue not do their absolute best to take care of their customers. Someone will always disagree with what they do, that's natural, but LaRue clearly has tried to take care of people that have been in line a very long time by getting those lowers out. How quickly people forget how precarious all the uncertainty was just a couple weeks/months ago. As a small business owner myself I fully understand the increased costs Mark is taking on doing what he did (and is doing) and I have yet to see one instance where he tried to recovery any of it from people that have waited. His profit margins are shrinking to get you guys your rifles. But they did it for just that reason, the most rifles in hand as quickly as they can. He was doing his best in an uncertain climate to get you your rifles in a way that was legal and would pass scrutiny. I have yet (to be redundant) to see them not deliver. Anyways, enough of this fanboyish sounding post. Back to lurking for me
The test kit photos really make me want one |

One question, does the tool box, wrench and neat little nylon case come with the PredatOBRs?

One question, does the tool box, wrench and neat little nylon case come with the PredatOBRs? Yes. When the tOBR was announced, I thought I was getting a tAR frame with the heavier OBR barrel. Fast forward several months and I find out that the suitcase rifle and tOBR are one and the same. A year has gone by since I've ordered and I would have not ordered the 18" with the SF brake to match my 18" OBR 556. I would have ordered a 16" with an A2 flash hider to be more compact if I had known I was getting a sick rifle like the tool box rifle. Called LT and was told I'd have to make a new order and get to the back of the line... Crap! What should I do?? Mark, will the longer barrel versions of the tOBR be as neatly packaged? I completely understand your order change policy. You guys couldn't get anything done if people were flip flopping their orders. Any body order a 16" wishing they had ordered a 18" |

Thanks for the update! Now I'm kicking myself for not ordereding the 7.62 the first day like the 5.56. Thanks again for the update it's exciting news

All I know is, I'm going to have a fucking awesome rifle when all of this is said and done. This thread just made my day.

Mark, what about Predatar's? When will they start rolling out? +1, does this mean all rifles will be rolling out soon as well? I understand there are quite a few PredatOBRs ahead of myself and the others from June, just wondering if this is going to be a movement of everything, or just PredatOBRs! Thanks for the update regardless! |
