I read a (half assed) review of the BM .308 in last month's GWLE, and it sort of got my interest. But I have a few questions before I go around asking for price quotes from the local FFLs.
Does the barrel extension/upper reciever have extended feed ramps, ala the much touted M4 type? Yes, I know that there are a jillion 5.56 ARs out there with standard rifle ramps that haven't jammed in over 378 million rounds each, but I view the extended ramps as good, simple insurance that hurt nothing at all, and can help a great deal.
I read somewhere that the BM .308's recievers are a little longer than an AR10. Is that true? Whether it is or isn't, can you use the ARMS AR10 S.I.R. handguard?
Is there any reason you couldn't install a VLTOR AR10 buffer tube and collapsible stock?
Has anyone done a stress test on one of the carbines? Something like 150 or 200 rounds fired rapidly?
Do the FAL mags drop free, or do they have to be yanked out?
When firing left handed, just how close does the brass get to your face?
Is the tri rail/gas block attached with taper pins or pinch screws like the Armalites?
Just how bad is the muzzle blast on the 16" carbine? This ain't so bad / Wow, that's a lot of concussion / I think my nose is bleeding / It hurts mommy, it hurts / The muzzle blast devoured my soul and now I work for Satan?
