Isn't the base of that magazine recessed to provide the extra 2 rounds capacity? A "ranger plate" type pull probably wouldn't be cost-effective for Magpul; but you're probably just inquiring as to whether any of the "classic" pistol magpuls will fit. I don't know the answer, but you've piqued my curiosity.
I find that the design of the magazine is already pretty effective when it comes to getting a good grip on the base of that magazine, even if you're running the magwell grips on that P226. But if you prefer the additional gripping surface of the magpul loop, I can't fault you there.
