I ordered a Panther DCM rifle through my local gun shop and am having to wait forever for it to be delivered. I have e-mailed DPMS and was told it would be 6-8 weeks. After waiting two months, the gun shop called and asked when it was shipping and DPMS said they had everything together but was waiting on the barrel. When asked for a time frame DPMS said they did not want to say. Well, it's three months now and still no rifle so I called DPMS myself and they said everything going to the dealer had shipped and there was no way they could tell me if the DCM rifle was shipped because of the amount of rifles being sent out. I work at a factory doing customer service and can track anything that we ship out( which is a lot!)so I know that a rifle can be too. I got my gun shop to call DPMS again and they said they were still waiting on the barrel because they only get them once a year. Am I going to have to wait six months to a year for my rifle? Why tell me 6-8 weeks when you know it will be significantly longer? Also, shouldn't you say something about parts being out of stock when this rifle is ordered to let the customer know he will be in for a long wait? Like I said earlier, I've been waiting three months now and still don't have a clue when my rifle is coming.
