I will say I remember hearing horror stories about getting 308 ARs to run when I first helped build one years ago, I mean aside from factory rifles like KAC, LMT and Armalite, especially built versus bought known good rifles. Anyway the rifle has been vertually flawless aside from a barrel issue at the very beginning, and part of the reason in my opinion is the use of a Tubb Flatwire spring. I think this so much that even though I hate putting them in and taking them out, I have gone this way on mine (hence I know Larue has them cheaper).
I realize the OP was asking in relation to a SR15 and I am talking about a 308 platform, but I feel like the logic follows that if it is good for a 308 it can be good for a 556.
